Chrome

Google chrome is the first Web browser by google.Launched on first week of september 08,this browser gave a great competition to other rival browsers like Firefox,IE,Opera,Safari etc. . .

Well chrome is a smooth n very delighted browser, fulfilling almost every functionality which a morden browser should have. The browser gives the same feel as that of gtalk and gmail(Damn simple, clean and sexy 😉 )…

Some positive features as compared to Other rivals(Firefox,IE) are:-

1. Much faster on my desktop as compared to Firefox 3.0

2. Special and seperate task manager for process in google chrome(Press Shift + Esc to have a look at them).

3. More Specious.

Well the negative things(or wher it lacks from Others) in browser are:-

1. No existing extensions or Addons as in case of Firefox(But google people said they will soon add API support in browser so that developers can design extensions for chrome too)

2. Same download manager window in browser window(Which makes it difficult to manage options while downloading files like pausing n resuming downloads)

3. Direct Download and installable only. No Setup file for redstibiutions via other media(drives etc).

Rest almost all of the features of Chrome are similar to that of Firefox upto my knowledge. The browser will be awesome when featured with extension support.Hopefully google will soon find out some way out.

Still i must say its a very good product by google.Hopefully it will be populated as other services of google are.

Happy browsing 🙂

If initial Wall Street Journal reports are to be believed, Dell is busy readying a new brand of MP3 players to renew the iPod battle. That’s not all, they could be on sale as early as September, barely a month from now!

This is not the first time Dell has ventured into the music market. Back in 2003, Dell had launched the Dell Digital Jukebox or just Dell DJ with a little help from the folks at Creative. These players were based on the same hardware and software platform as the Creative NOMAD/Creative Zen digital audio players. The dream run lasted three years till August 24, 2006, when Dell decided to pull the plug and production was stopped.

Fast forward to 2008, Dell seems to be in a mood to take on the likes of the iPod again. With the likes of Microsoft and Sony having tried and failed to pip Apple from the numero uno perch, it would be interesting to note what strategy Dell has in store. For starters, Dell is working on software for a range of portable PCs that will let users download and organize music and movies from various online sources. This is different from what it had done earlier – where it simply acted as hardware tied to some music service.

The music player which Dell has been testing features a small navigation screen and basic button controls to scroll through music playlists. It would connect to online music services via a Wi-Fi, and Dell would likely price the model at less than $100.

Dell Studio-15

Dell continues to try and update their notebook designs this year, and the new Dell Studio 15 is the latest consumer 15-inch notebook that highlights these new designs. Its a very good lap with almost all the required features needed(except high end gaming). The cost factor is a major factor which makes dell the best choice for consumers, however the XPS series was too much costlier as compared to Inspiron.Inspiron lacks designer part and XPS is coslier and compact, so here dell comes with a mixture of both these a lap within range of Rs46,000 and embedded with almost all features 🙂 .
